Dense Phase
CDF CleanCat™ Dense Feeder
The CDF is a dense phase conveying vessel, which automatically cycles to convey in low velocity dense phase mode the catalyst from ground level to the top of the reactor. Material is emptied from big bags; tote bins or barrels into a small feed hopper above the CDF. Compressed air is used to push the material cyclically from the vessel into the conveying pipe or hose. Inlet and outlet dome valves automatically cycle to maintain a slow moving flow of catalyst to the reactor top. The CDF is self-contained with its own control panel and is certified to the Pressure Equipment Directive.
CDC CleanCat™ Dense Controller
The CDC is positioned on top of the reactor and has a dual function. During loading it controls the velocity of the catalyst in the conveying pipe, which is coming from either a CDF or CIV. The CDC safely feeds the catalyst by gravity into a feed hopper (at atmospheric pressure) above the loading sock. During unloading the CDC vacuum’s the catalyst at a low and controlled velocity to the top of the reactor with minimal attrition to the catalyst. Discharged material will fall by gravity through a discharge pipe/sock to ground level where it can be loaded into bins or CIV’s.
The CDC is self-contained with its own control panel and is certified to the Pressure Equipment Directive.
The benefits are:
- Improved quality, health, safety, environment and security
- System operates in all weather conditions
- Reduced attrition levels
- Increased unloading rates
- Increased loading rates
- Reduced nitrogen consumption Greater percentage recovery of spent catalyst Complete storage and transportation solution
